Parrish Williams, passed from this world to join his family in Heaven Sunday, October 4, 2009 at 9:10 a.m.

Parrish was born December 26, 1911 to James P. Williams and Gambler Little-snake Williams in Bressie, Oklahoma. He attended school at Ponca Government School, Pawnee Government School, Rein school and he graduated from Chilocco Indian School in 1932. He attended Northern Oklahoma College and graduated from Okmulgee State Tech in 1964. He has been an active member of The Native American Church since 1935. He loved his 38 grand children, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Survivors include, Arneva Bowhay, Ponca City, Curtis and Evona, Grand Prairie, Texas, James P. Williams, Pawnee, Beverly Picotte, Talihina, Maxine and Julian Thompson, Ponca City, Beulah and Ron Sherron, Tahlequah, Resa and John McKnight, Ponca City, Zack and Cathy Williams, Broken Arrow, his oldest grandson Rick and Jean Bowhay, Kildare, Oklahoma. Numerous adopted children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eunice; sons, Page Vernon, Page Arthur, Perry Alex and Rudolph.

Casket bearers will be his grandsons.

Mr. Williams will lie in state at the home in Marland, Oklahoma. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at the residence. Burial will follow at the Ponca Indian Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
