James Grant Rhea, 29, of Ponca City, passed away Monday, June 23, 2014 in Ponca City. James was born on June 1, 1985 in Aurora, CO.

James graduated from Ponca City High School in 2004, after serving in the U.S. Air Force he went to Pioneer VoTech and graduated with certification in Heat Air. He then earned his journeymans license. James was a very friendly person and enjoyed helping people. He loved the outdoors, hunting on the river for arrowheads, fishing and building things. He loved his pets, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his 2 daughters, who were his pride and joy.

He is survived by his 2 daughters Harper Lynn Rhea and Addison Leigh Rhea, parents Thomas and Linda Rhea, all of Ponca City. 4 siblings, many other relatives and all of his church family from Ponca Indian Full Gospel Church where he attended.

Wake services will be 7 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014 traditional meal will be at noon on Friday, June 27, 2014 with services to follow at 2:00 p.m. all at the Ponca Indian Full Gospel Church with Pastors Raymond Rector and Jimmy White officiating. Burial will follow in the Ponca Tribal Cemetery.
