Houston Primeaux Jr, resident of Red Rock passed Thursday, July 23, 2015 at the Ponca City Medical Center. He was 38 years of age.

Houston was born July 30, 1976 in Pawnee, Oklahoma, the son of Houston Primeaux Sr. and Irene LeClair. Houston was raised by his grandparents Antoine and Rosetta LeClair from the age 3. He attended the Ponca City Public Schools. He was married to Dena Tah on June 11, 1999 in Perry, Oklahoma. He had been employed with the maintenance department of the Otoe-Missouria Tribe.

His enjoyments were fishing, hunting, being in the woods, the casino's and pow-wow's. He had just started traditional dancing again last summer. He never said no to anyone, he always helped people. Houston was a caring man, a Gentle Giant. He loved his kids with all his heart and would do anything for his family.

He is survived by his wife Dena, of the home; his grandmother, Rosetta LeClair; four children, Tamira Primeaux of Red Rock, Munchuska Primeaux of Red Rock, Houston Primeaux III of Marland and Garren Primeaux of Marland; his siblings, Antoine LeClair of South Dakota, Baptiste DeLodge of Ponca City, Antoine DeLodge of Red Rock, Ella DeLodge of Tonkawa, Latasha Youker of Ponca City and Anthony Primeaux Jr. of Ponca City; numerous other extended family and friends; and his four legged friends, Monster and Bella. He was preceded in death by his parents, Houston Primeaux and Irene LeClair; and grandfather, Antoine LeClair.

Wake services will be held at the Otoe-Missouria Cultural Center Friday and Saturday evenings. A noon meal will be served on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at the Otoe-Missouria Cultural Center with the funeral to follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Ponca Tribal Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.

Casket bearers are Antoine DeLodge, Baptiste DeLodge, Robert Martin Jr., Dustin Beard, Darnell Burgess and Anthony Primeaux Jr.

Honorary casket bearers are Joe Brown, Mark Brown, Bobby Howe, Josh Black, Otoe-Missouria Maintenance Department.
