Warner Dave Littlecook, age 62, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at White Eagle.

Dave was born September 26, 1946 at Pawnee, Oklahoma, the son of Warren Littlecook and Wanda Youker Littlecook. Dave attended the Riverside Indian School at Anadarko, Oklahoma and the Fort Sill Indian School at Lawton, Oklahoma. He was of the Baptist faith and his enjoyments included attending Indian dances, playing horseshoes and spending time with his family.

He is survived by two sons, Elton Littlecook and Jason Littlecook, both of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; his step-son, David Finch of Muskogee, Oklahoma; four sisters, Karen Littlecook, Sandra Haight, Teresa Zazueta and Tar Hinman, all of Ponca City; two brothers, Ray Hinman and Roy Hinman, also of Ponca City; five grandchildren, Nicollette, Tessa Littlecook, Tristan Finch, Anissa Finch and Tanner Finch; several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wynona Impson; one brother, Teddy Youker.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at the Ponca Indian Cultural Center with Rev. Louis V. Headman presiding. Interment will be in the Ponca Indian Tribal Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.

Casket bearers will be Marcus Hinman, J.R. Kent, A.J. Carney, Sammuel Roy Hinman, Myron Hinman and Conner Rhodd. Honorary casket bearers will be Jonsey Carney, Ricky Hinman, Marcus Hinman Jr., Trey Kent and Joey Whitehorn.
