Molly "Amy" Elizabeth Pappan Eagle passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Via Christi Village in Ponca City. She was 85 years old. A traditional noon feast will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at The Ponca Indian Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Ponca Tribal Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marcus Eagle, McKinley "Toby" Eagle, Thomas Pappan, Jr., Leland Pappan, III, Garland "Son" Pappan, and David T. Eagle, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Lester M. Eagle, DeForrest Pappan, Eugene Pappan, Doug Eagle, Jr., Llewellyn Doug Eagle, and Clinton Pappan.

Molly was born on December 29, 1932 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to her parents Leland Pappan, Sr. and Bessie (Others) Pappan. She married Hiawatha Eagle on September 26, 1956. He preceded her in death on August 26, 1987. They had four children: Lucina, David, Brenda, and one daughter who died at birth, Francene. Molly worked as a teacher's assistant for several years in Ponca City. In her later years, she worked for the Ponca Tribe Head Start Program.

Molly was very much involved in her church and helping with church activities. She loved cooking and hosting family get-togethers. She also adored her grandchildren and spent as much time around them as possible.

Molly was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Bessie, husband, Hiawatha Eagle, brothers, Amarbe Pappan, Sr., Leland Pappan, Jr., Garland Pappan, Sr., and Levi Crawford, sister, Lillian Eagle, and infant daughter, Francene.

She is survived by her children, Lucina Cries For Ribs of Ponca City, David Thomas Eagle, Sr. of Ponca City, and Brenda Lee Eagle of Ponca City, her brother Thomas Pappan, Sr. of Ponca City, five grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Services are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory in Ponca City.
