Greta Ann Buffalohead Blubaugh of the Hisada Clan and longtime Ponca City resident passed away peacefully in Ponca City, OK. She was born June 30, 1954 in Pawnee, OK to Donald George and Virginia M. Blueback Buffalohead. Funeral services will follow the Traditional noon feast and Give away at the Ponca Tribal Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2016 in the Ponca Nazarene Church with Rev. Louis Headman officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponca Indian Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Prudencio Mendoza, Richard Driggers, Jay (Boy) Goodman, Arthur Cerre, Francisco Hernandez and Wiley Whitehorn. Arrangements are under the care of Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City.

Greta attended the Ponca City School system and she graduated from Po High. Before ill health forced Greta to retire she was a head Housekeeper at the Oral Roberts Hotel in Tulsa, OK. Greta met the love of her life Paul Waldron and they have spent the Last 18 years together. Greta enjoyed refurbishing furniture, watching the Dallas Cowboys. She was also an Avid OU Fan and a member of the Ponca Indian Nazarene Church.

Survivors include: Husband Paul of the Home. 2 daughters: Daphine Whitaker of Stillwater, OK Jesse Castorena of Independence, KS. Her mother; Virginia Buffalohead and brother Ron A. Buffalohead of Nazarene Rd. near White Eagle, OK 2 sisters; Teresa G. Buffalohead and Paula Mendoza and husband Prudencio all of Ponca City, OK she also has 6 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

Greta was preceded in death by her father, 2 brothers Gary Buffalohead and Don Buffalohead.
