October 30, 1949 - February 2, 2024

Known by the family as "Nina", Carol Suzanne Nichols left her earthly home at the age of 74. She passed away unexpectedly on February 2, 2024, at 11:59 pm at OU Medical Center. Carol was born in Enid on October 30, 1949 and was a longtime Ponca City resident and spent her days enjoying life with friends and family, and would often be spotted enjoying a grandchild's sporting event. Carol also worked part-time at Ponca City's Taco Stop and was a friendly face to the entire community. She went to heaven peacefully with family at her bedside. She is preceded in death by her parents Wayne Ingmire & Mary (Simrod) Ingmire and her longtime best friend, Carmelita Westbrook.

She is survived by her dear husband of 32 years, Jerry Nichols; siblings: Steve Ingmire, Cathy Ingmire, Scott Ingmire & wife Theresa, Kevin Ingmire, Shelly & husband David Dickover, Sherry & husband Donny Heimbach, and bonus sibling Lynette and Mark Gregory, and numerous nieces and nephews that were all cherished by Carol. She is also survived by her loving children: Gina Burgess; Keri Burgess and wife Karina, Lisa Testa and husband BJ, bonus child David & wife Lori Miller; bonus children: Jamie & wife Kerri Nichols, Alex & wife Penny Nichols, Christina Ridgway & husband Troy, Jessica Moore, & bonus child Dan White; Grandchildren: Brandon & Robbi Nichols, Kimberlee and husband Aria Lieb, Shelbee King & Blake Dawes, Hannah White, Cole Nichols, Katelyn King, Cohle Hallman and Chyne Aliff, Hanna & husband Addison Heddins, Lane Nichols, Jayden Newman & Hannah Larson, Conner and Kylee Testa, Kaydon Testa, Emalee Newman, Aniston Tiller, Jaxon Testa, Racin Moore, Linleigh Ridgway, Trinity Moore, Phenix Moore, Eden Moore; Great grandchildren: Kylan, Kasen, and Korbyn Lieb; Micallen, Henley, Alden, And Emalynn Nichols; Lincon Widener & Finn Hallman; Elyas and Edyn Newman; Witten and Wrenlee Testa, Barrett Heddins, and Harrison White.

Friends and family are welcome to attend the graveside services to be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery located at 1205 S Waverly in Ponca City, on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 2:00pm. A Celebration of Life is to take place at 3:00 pm, in the Summit room, at City Central located at 400 E. Central Ave in Ponca City. Thoughts and prayers are appreciated during this time. For those inquiring, there will be no viewing. Flowers may be sent to Grace Memorial and for those wanting to make a monetary donation, the family has set up a "special fund" at First National Bank in Ponca City in care of Jerry Nichols.
