Dale Bishop, 63, 717 14th Terrace, died February 27, 1987, at Hutchinson Hospital. Born June 8, 1923, at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, he was a veteran law enforcement officer, serving as McPherson County Sheriff from 1961 until his retirement in 1969. He was a longtime resident of the Hutchinson area. He was a member of the Four Square Church and was a World War II army veteran.
He is survived by 2 daughters and 5 stepdaughters, Kimberlee Dale Bishop, 717 14th Terr., Debra Hart of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Diane Scholtisseck 2603 Brentwood, Lisa Roberts 1527 W 12th, Sandy Kindred and Brenda Roberts, both of Arlington, TX, and Emily Terry of Albuquerque, NM, and a stepson Bobby Roberts of Hutchinson. Sisters: Sue Rutledge, Ponca City, OK, Jessie Tomlinson, Tahoka, TX, Bertha Rich Montclair, CA, and a brother, Harold Bishop of Tulsa, OK.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, the Rev. Quinton Moore. Graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Monday at the IOOF Cemetery, Ponca City, OK. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
