Bert Zane Adams, Ponca City resident, died Monday, October 23, 2006 at Integris Baptist Burn Center in Oklahoma City. He was 79 years of age.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Trout Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.

Bert was born on June 22, 1927 in Stillwater to Fred and Alta (Bunney) Adams. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. On December 15, 1952, He married Isabell Stigall in Ponca City. Bert was a farmer and rancher and retired from the City of Ponca City in 1989 as a Steam Operator. He enjoyed farming and shooting pool. He was a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by: his wife Isabell of Ponca City; 3 daughters, Cindy Montes and her husband Gustavo of Ponca City, Kathy Westcott and her husband Kevin, Ellen Murray and her husband Kirvin Sr. of Ponca City; 3 sons, Sam Adams and his wife Alene of Marland, Fred Adams and his wife Valerie of Ponca City, and Mike Ramsey of Ponca City; two brothers, Clinton Adams of California and Jack Adams of Ponca City;16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons, Dale and Lester Adams, one brother, and one great grandchild.

Casket bearers will be Mike Moore, Steve Dummer, Keith Hambleton, Fred Ward, Hank Rhodd, and Preston Walkingsky.

Honorary casket bearers will be Isiah Adams, Rusty Short, Clint Short, David Mangrum, Richard Wright and Thomas Pappan.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 5700 N. Portland, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Isabell Vestina Adams, 92, passed away on March 13, 2019 at her home in Ponca City, OK with family by her side. She was born on January 22, 1927 to Sam Carson and Laura (McDonald) Stigall in Marland, OK. Visitation for Isabell will be held at Grace Memorial Chapel, 2016 N 14th St, Ponca City on Saturday, March 16th from 10am to 8pm and Sunday, March 17th from Noon to 8pm. The Funeral Service in her honor will be at Grace Memorial Chapel on Monday, March 18th starting at 10am with Pastor Chris Short from Marland Baptist Church residing. Burial will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Ponca City. Pall bearers will be her grandsons; David Mangrum, Kirvin Murray Jr, Rusty Ray Short, Isiah Adams, Josh Murray and Jordan Murray. Honorary Pall bearers are also Isabell's grandsons; Christian Adams, Lester Adams, Clint Short, Delane Black, John Cling, Chantz Cling and Austin Nuttle.

Isabell grew up locally and attended Chilocco Indian School for most of her education. She attended Pawnee Indian School for her Junior and Senior years of high school. On December 15th, 1953 Isabell married the love of her life, Bert Zane Adams, in Ponca City, OK. Together they had eight children. Bert and Isabell were always together and enjoyed 53 years together before Bert passed away in 2006.

Isabell was known for her gardening and canning everything that she grew. She also took great care of family and friends, she never let anyone be left alone when they needed anything. She was always there to help. Isabell had a large caring heart that she shared with everyone she knew. Taking care of Babies was one of her favorite pastimes. She often watched over and played with her grandchildren, great grandchildren even her great great grandchildren.

She also enjoyed watching her shows on the TV. Some of her favorites were; the Price is Right, Andy Griffin, and court room shows like Judge Judy, Judge Brown and Mathis. If none of her shows were on she could always find an old western to enjoy. When she was out with friends she could be found on the dance floor or at the casino playing her favorite slot machines. Isabell's favorite holiday was Halloween. She enjoyed decorating and dressing up to trick or treat with her babies.

She was a member of the Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma. Bert and Isabell were members of the American Legion for over 50 years.

Isabell leaves behind her children; Mike Ramsey, Cindy (Tavo) Montes, Sam Adams, Kathy Westcott, Ellen Murray and Fred (Cynthia) Adams, 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She had many great friends that will dearly miss her too.

She is predeceased by her husband, Bert, sons; Dale Ray Adams and Lester Zane Adams, parents; Sam and Laura, 7 sisters and 2 brothers, son-in-law's; Kevin Westcott and Kirvin Murray, Sr, daughter-in-law; Alene Adams, 1 grand child and 1 great grandchild.
