Donald B. Gamble, resident of Tonkawa, passed Sunday, August 24, 2014 at his home, surrounded by loving family. He was 67 years of age.

Don was born January 18, 1947 in Chester, Pennsylvania, the son of Albert E. Gamble and Mildred Brown Gamble. He was raised in Aston, Pennsylvania where he graduated from Sun Valley High School in 1964. After high school Don joined the United States Air Force and served 4 years with 2 of those years being stationed in Korea. He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant. While in Korea he was a member of the Escom sky Divers Club. He was also a member of the IBEW Local 126, journeyman lineman electrician in Collegeville, Pennsylvania and a member of the Hartley, Delaware Masonic Lodge. Don was also a member of the Otoe Missouria Tribe.

He was married to Barbara Jean Fitz on July 30, 1977 in Aston, Pennsylvania and recently celebrated their 38 years of marriage. The couple made their home in Claymont, Delaware for 17 years before moving to Tonkawa in 1994.

Dons enjoyments were farming, his cattle, being outdoors, spending time with his grandchildren, and especially watching WWE with his grandchild Ki. Don will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to anyone he met.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of the home his mother, Mildred Gamble of Tonkawa four children, Carol Tracey and husband Anthony Sr., of Newark, Delaware, Donald B. Gamble Jr. and wife Cathy of Phoenix, Arizona, Donna Heitmann and husband Chris of Newark, Delaware and Kim Bowling and husband Jeremy of Tonkawa one brother, Lawrence Gamble and wife Sharon of Delaware six grandchildren, Ki Bowling, Keyli Bowling, Madison Gamble, Matthew Heitmann, Lisa Ignudo and husband Eddy, and Anthony Tracey Jr. one great grandchildren, Anthony Ignudo numerous other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father grandparents Harry and Faye Brown and numerous uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Grace Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the Newkirk Cemetery.
