Harvey Calvin Paige of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Monday July 1, 2013, at his residence at the age of 85 years.

Harvey Calvin Paige was born on March 8, 1928, in Nardin, Oklahoma, to Henry Charles and Maybelle Amanda (Webb) Paige. He attended Nardin Elementary School and graduated from Deer Creek High School with the Class of 1946. He married Velma June Williamson, his high school sweetheart, on September 1, 1949, in Nardin.

Harvey was a lifelong farmer, retiring in 1987. He also worked for Consolidated Gas Company and Jennings Ford Tractor during the winter months. Following his retirement, Harvey continued working at Paige Garage. He enjoyed taking his boys to play sports, watching sports on TV, and gardening. Harvey's primary hobbies and joys of his life were his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, showing them how to play checkers, hide and seek, and other Grandpa things.

He is survived by his wife, Velma Paige of Blackwell, Oklahoma; three sons, Craig Paige of Magnolia, Arkansas, Randy Paige and wife Judy of Nardin, Oklahoma, and Derry Paige and wife Michaeleen of Blackwell, Oklahoma; one sister, Alice Estes of Blackwell, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorotha Willhite and Marjorie Paige; one infant brother; and one daughter-in-law, Paula Paige.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Nardin, Oklahoma, with James W. Roberts officiating.

Harvey's grandchildren will serve as casketbearers, Chris Paige, Cameron Young, Chance Paige, Jonathan Paige, Ryker Paige, Hunter Paige and Axel Paige.

Honorary casketbearers will be Jimmy Tickel, Rick Adams, Larry Hall, Zach Beck, Curtis Winney, Max Wooderson and Scotty Leiding.

A memorial in his honor has been established with the Nardin United Methodist Church c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 West Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
