Jasper W. Lankard died Saturday evening at nine o’clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. W. Clark of this city. The remains were buried Sunday afternoon at five o’clock in the IOOF cemetery. Mr. Lankard was born in Pennsylvania May 9, 1837. He had been visiting with his daughter for several weeks when he took sick; he was only confined to his bed a few days, although he had not been well for almost a month. Everything that could be done to contribute to his comfort and return to health was employed by loving hands and sympathizing friend’s but all to no avail, he passed quietly to the other shore. Mrs. Clark having the sympathy of a large circle of friends.
