PONCA CITY MAN KILLS SELF BY SHOOTING
Ponca City, Okla. March 16-Fane Broyles, aged 45, committed suicide near here Monday noon, by shooting himself with a shotgun. Broyles was formerly a well-known farmer near Ponca City, but a few years ago traded his farm for property in this city and had since lived here. He returned last week from a sanitarium at Norman where he had been for some time suffering mental derangement caused by worry over financial affairs. Broyles went to the home of his brother-in-law Mack Gardner, on the A. G. Soldani ranch eight miles east of Ponca City Sunday for a visit and killed himself while alone in the house. It is believed he rested the gun on the floor and pulled the trigger with his toe, the charge from the gun tearing the top of his head off. He leaves a wife and two small children.
