Bruce Reynolds
The Kay County Sun
March 30, 1899
Submitted by: Mollie Stehno

Bruce Reynolds died Monday morning March 7, at about 10 ‘clock. He was only sick about one week and but few knew he was so near death’s door until the sad news came that Bruce was dead.
About two days previous to his death he became unconscious and remained in that state until death relieved him of his suffering.
Bruce Reynolds was well known in Blackwell and had a large circle of friends who mourn his very sand and untimely death. He was about 23 years of age and from all appearances was enjoying good health. It is painful indeed to see those just passing the threshold of manhood, with every promise of an honorable life stricken down in the midst of loving friends. He was the recipient of every attention which contributed to his comfort and secure his speedy return to health, but al to no avail he died in the morning of live.
The funeral services were held in the M. E. church Tuesday at 1 p.m. conducted by the pastor Rev. C. S. Burchfield assisted by Rev. Craighead.
To the bereaved parents and sorrowing friends the Sun extends sympathy.
