Ina M Smith, longtime Ponca City resident, passed away Wednesday morning, July 19, 2017 with her loving family by her side. She was 91 years of age. Ina was born August 19, 1925 on the family homestead in Uncas to Frank and Grace Bailey. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Second Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Newport officiating. Interment will follow in the Longwood Cemetery under the care of Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City.

Ina grew up in Uncas and she attended Uncas schools for 8 years, then rode the school bus to Kaw City for two years, and then she went to Ponca City for a year. During her early years she attended the First Baptist Church of Uncas. She met the love of her life Albert Lee ''Pete'' Smith and they were married on October 11, 1942 in the Bailey family home in Uncas and they made their home in Ponca City. Ina worked for Miller Grocery as a meat wrapper for 8 years. She rededicated her life to Christ in 1958 and joined the Second Baptist Church of Ponca City. On July 31st of 1960 she had her first child and her second child was born in 1962. Ina enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and preparing food for people in town. Ina was also an accomplished organist and she enjoyed decorating graves for family members.

Survivors include her 2 sons; Audy and wife Latayne Smith of Newkirk, OK and David Smith of Ponca City, OK, 2 grandchildren; Braden Smith and wife Susannah of Arkansas City, KS and Taylor Marie Smith of Norman, OK 2 great grandchildren; Brynlee and Ayla Smith. Also surviving is a cousin: Jim Easley of Waxahachie, TX.

Ina was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert of 61 years, 1 brother; Robert Tressie Bailey and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
