Grace V. Berryhill Loney, longtime resident of Ponca City, passed Sunday June 8, 2014 at Via Christi Village. She was 94 years of age.

Grace was born November 15, 1919 at Pickett Prairie, Oklahoma Creek County. She was the daughter of Charles Augustus Berryhill and Malinda Arbine Ranney Berryhill. Her early education was received from the Mounds and Sapulpa Schools.

Grace was married to Eric Noel Loney on October 12, 1937 in Ponca City. The couple moved to other locations before returning to Ponca City in 1955. Grace worked as a cab driver during World War II and also at the Tulsa Douglas Aircraft Plant during the war. She also worked at the Sapulpa Glass Factory and later ran a beauty shop from her home for many years. She was a member of Sunset Baptist Church since 1958 where she was very active, teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, singing in the Sunset Saints Choir and Kay Baptist Association Elderly Choir. Her enjoyments included her love of our Lord and serving her Sunset Baptist Church. In earlier years she enjoyed knitting, fabric painting, reading and gardening.

She is survived by one son, Donald R. Loney and wife, Beverly daughterinlaw Virginia Loney four grandchildren, Cheryl Glover and husband Charles, Brent Loney and wife Kristy, Kevin Loney and wife Beverly and Bradley Loney and wife Amy, all of Ponca City 13 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren with one on the way several nieces, nephews and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents husband one son, Gerald D. Loney a great great grandson, Jason Gerald Britton 6 sisters and 3 brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Sunset Baptist Church with Pastor Matt Brown presiding. Interment will follow in the Longwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
