Ruby Evelyn (Ford) Johnstone, former resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, entered Heaven on Saturday, June 10, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 97 years young.

A funeral ceremony for Ruby will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Ponca Assembly of God with Pastor Dewayne Bardwell officiating. Burial will follow at Longwood Cemetery. Ruby's family will be available to greet friends on Friday, June 16, from 6-8 pm at Trout Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.

Ruby was born on November 18, 1919 in Washita, OK to her parents, Fred and Marie Ford. She married Jim Johnstone on September 16, 1939 and, together, had three children, Charles, Doreta, and Helen.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jim Johnstone, son, Charles, four brothers, Curtis, Ralph, Mody Joe, and John Lee, four sisters, Ezelia, Martha, Edythe, Wilma, and granddaughter, Cathy Renee.

Ruby is survived by two children, Doreta, and Helen; sister, Donis, grandchildren, Lori, Travis, Carey, Kelly, Bambie, and Lance; great-grandchildren, Charlie, Christian, Sterling, Ethan, Kaylynn, Cathy, Paul, Sarah, Daniel, Chelsea, John, Dylan, and Jessica; and four great great grandchildren.
