Bill Harless, longtime resident of Ponca City, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2010 at his home. He was 72.

Bill was born May 21, 1938 in Pryor, Oklahoma, the son of Harry Harless and Ada Loleta Plummer Harless. His early schooling was in the Pryor Schools prior to moving to Ponca City where he attended East Jr. High School. He was married to Pam Atkins on September 11, 1969 in Bartlesville. Bill was employed as a trucker and had been employed with Sullivan Trucking and Gregg Transfer. His enjoyments were watching John Wayne movies, CB radios, visiting with others and in earlier years, fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Pam, of the home five children, Nancy Louise Beach and husband, James, of Wichita, Kansas, Billie Sue Harless, Osage Beach, Missouri, Billy Carwin Harless, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Lora Lynn Queen and husband, Troy, Ponca City, and Chadwick Seth Harless also of Ponca City four sisters, Cindy Nelson, Kay Beatty, Mary Ann Bryant and Linda Coffey two brothers, Roy Harless and David, Harless 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents sisters, Betty Farney and Rose Bailey brothers, Johnny Harless, Bud Harless and James Harless.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at the Life Springs Family Worship Center, 621 West Grand, Ponca City with Pastor Steve Brown presiding. Interment will follow in the Longwood Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
