Mary Lou (Rhodes) Hammans

Mary Lou Hammans, 79, of Ponca City, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 at her residence. 

Mary Lou was born on May 21, 1933 in Inglewood, CA to Charles A. and Emma (Hislop) Rhodes. She moved to Ponca City in 1950. Married Robert Lee “Bob” Hammans on December 13, 1951 in Ponca City. He passed away on November 28, 2000. She loved to travel, worked as a retail credit clerk for CONOCO retiring in 1986, member of a Bridge Club where she had many friends. The best thing she ever did was LOVE her family. 

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-Todd Hammans, 5 brothers; Charles, Warren, Everett, Jim and Bill. 2 Sisters; Margaret and Helen. 

Mary Lou is survived by her children; Kim & Clyde Seal of Ponca City, Tyler and Renee Hammans of Tulsa. Daughter-in-law; Joann Hammans of Ponca City. Sister-Trudy Haycraft of Chino, CA. 4 Grandchildren; Heath McEnany, Victoria Stockton, Jeremy Hammans and Cara Carroll. 5 Great Grandchildren; Marshall, Cheyenne, Hanna, Jenna and Caitlyn. 

Memorial may be made to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 1904 N. Union, Suite 103, Ponca City, OK 74601. 

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Grace Memorial Chapel with Pastor John Waterloo. Burial will follow at Longwood Cemetery, Ponca City, OK. 

Services are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
