Norma Jean Booton ~ ~ ~ 1934-2009

Keller, Texas----Norma Jean Booton, 74, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009. Celebration of Life will be 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, Texas, with Pastor Darryl Baker officiating.
Mrs. Booton will be laid to rest in Grandview Cemetery, Kaw City, Okla., next to her husband, Mack. Please call for graveside service information. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials: At her request, please consider only transplantable plants, or a gift to the Susan B. Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 1-877-465-6636.
Mrs. Booton was born on Oct. 15, 1934, in Weatherford, to William and Alice Stanley. She worked for Christian Children's Fund from 1993-1997 when she was diagnosed with cancer. Mrs. Booton resided in Tahlequah from 1971 until 2005. She was the primary caregiver to her husband and mother-in-law during their illnesses.
In her final years, she lived with her daughter, Donna Richey, in Keller. After learning her cancer had returned, Norma fought a good fight of faith, and, contemplated her new home in heaven with peace and joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and William Stanley; a sister, Annabelle Parker; a brother, Bill Stanley; and her husband, Mack Booton.
In addition to her daughter, she is survived by her son, DeWayne A. Booton and his wife, Vicki, and all her family, of Bowling Green, Mo; a niece Roxanne Lee and her husband, David; and nephew, Dennis Parker. Their children are Jimmy Ray Lee, Andrea Chasteen, Megan Padgett, and Jacob Parker, all of the Inola area. Also, loved by stepchildren and grandchildren.
