Charles "Jack" Busby ~ ~ ~ 1890-1961

Tuesday Service Near Braman for Charles Busby
Funeral services for Charles (Jack) Busby, 71, northeast of Blackwell, who died in Blackwell General hospital at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Dilworth Church of God, six miles east of Braman.
Rev. Walter Evans will officiate and burial will be in Braman Cemetery by Roberts and Sons funeral home
Mr. Busby, a retired oilfield worker, was born Jan. 17, 1890, in Mountain View, Mo. He came to this area in 1913.
He served in the army during World War I and was a member of the American Legion.
Surviving are three sons, Ralph of Houston, Tex; Delmar of Cyril and John Wayne of Corpus Christi, Tex; four sisters, Mrs. Clara Willbanks of Blackwell, Mrs. Cecil DeBoard of Ponca City, Mrs. Rosa Potts of Mountain View and Mrs. Martha Bellar, Centralia, Ill; two brothers, Jim Busby of Mountain View and Leonard Busby, Norman; and eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Olen DeBoard, Melvin DeBoard, Ike Avery, Charlie Tyson, Ernest Sims, and Clarence Bonner.
