PARMELY RITES 2 P.M. FRIDAY

Final rites for Irvan Parmely will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Michael Hughs, pastor, will officiate. Burial is to be in the IOOF Cemetery under direction of Hamilton-Porter Funeral Home. There will be a Christian wake service tonight (Thursday) at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.

Casketbearers are to be R. D. Congram, Andy Riggle, Wilbur Groom, Wayne Chaney, Tom Bershara and Hoyle Curtis.

Honorary pallbearers are Fred Schwartz, Henry Buskuhl, Link Braden, Oat Huffington, and Jake Ronck.

Mr. Parmely, 70, died Wednesday morning in St. Anthony's Hospital at Oklahoma City.

He was born in Payne County near Stillwater on April 25, 1909.

He married Maxine Halbert on Aug. 10, 1931 in Arkansas City. They made their home in Blackwell and Mr. Parmely retired in 1974 after 45 years employment as serviceman, first for Consolidated Gas then for Arkla Gas. He also was a volunteer fireman for 20 years.

He was amember of St. Joseph Church and belonged to the Elks Lodge.

Survivors are his wife, Maxine, of the home, 602 North First, several nieces and nephews. His parents and three brothers, Earl, Arthus and Eugene, preceded him in death.
