Maggie F. Hines

Mrs. Jesse (Maggie F.) Hines, 72, died at 1:45 a.m. Thursday in Blackwell General Hospital where she had been a patient the past six days. Her death followed a lengthy illness.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Alfred Porter residence at 215 West Padon with Rev. Bill Garroute, pastor of the New Testament Baptist church, officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF cemetery.

Mrs. Hines was born April 3, 1895, at Morehead, Kans., and came to Blackwell in 1926 from Cherryvale, Kans.

Surviving are her husband, Jesse of the home at 504 South First; one son, John Hines, Donna, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Viola Kershner of Wichita; two step-daughters, Mrs. Dovie Mae Adair and Mrs. Mary Corle, both of Cherryvale; three sisters, Mrs. Lou Locke, Grand Prairie, Tex., and Mrs. Maude Welch, and Mrs. Sadie Cunningham, Cherryvale; 6 grandchildren & 9 gr-grandchildren.
