Nina Erdwurm
Nina (Kite) Erdwurm died at her home Sunday, Nov. 1, at 8:30 p.m. at the age of 88.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, in the First United Methodist Church. Rev. Randy Hodgson will officiate. Burial will be in the Blackwell IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
Casketbearers will be Harold Weigle, Jim Rodgers, Bob Berline, Charles Boesch and John Boersma.
Mrs. Erdwurm was born Dec. 30, 1903 in Blackwell to George W. and Mary Elizabeth (Cooper) Kite. She grew up in Blackwell, attending Blackwell schools.
She married Fred Erdwurm in Blackwell and they settled in Blackwell, later moving to a farm north of town, and then into town.
Her husband preceded her in death Sept. 1, 1972, and she and her sister moved to a home on East Padon, living there since.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Kum Dubl Sunday school classes.
Survivors include three cousins, Lorene Lagrone, Thelma Bontz and Harold Cooper, all of Blackwell.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Velma Kite, and two brothers, Robert Kite and Max Kite.
A memorial has been established to the First United Methodist Church.
