Irene Cooper~ ~ ~ 1876 - 1961

COOPER RITE SET MONDAY, CITY CHURCH
Last rites for Mrs. Irene Cooper, 84, 723 East College, who died at her home Friday at 1:50 p.m., will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in the First Christian church.
George Nordgulen, associate minister, will officiate and burial will be in the IOOF cemetery under direction of Roberts and Sons Funeral Home.
The body will lie in state at the church from 9 to 10 a.m. when the casket will be closed.
Mrs. Cooper was born Nov. 10, 1876 in Pekin, ILL. She came from Belle Plain, Kans., to Blackwell in 1903 and had lived here since that time.
She was a member of the Christian Church and the American Legion auxiliary.
Surivors are five daughters, Miss Carol Cooper of Wichita, Mrs. Mary Bumgardner and Mrs. Lorene Lagrone, Blackwell, Mrs. Olive Paddock, Tulsa and Mrs. Thelma Bontz, Nardin; five sons, Homer, Ray, Kenneth and Harold Cooper, Blackwell, and Keith Cooper of Tacoma, Washl; a brother, John Hatfield, Blackwell, 26 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons serving as pallbearers will be Joe, Jimmy, Dwayne, Freddie, Lloyd and Billy Ray Cooper.
