Irma Lucille Collyar ~ ~ ~ 1930 - 1997

Blackwell---Irma Lucille Collyar, 805 South Eighth Street, Blackwell, died early Wednesday morning, January 8 1997, at her home. She was 66.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell with the Rev. Bill Maxey, Blackwell Regional Hospital Chaplain officiating. Burial will be in the Blackwell IOOF Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home until service time then the casket will be closed.
Irma Lucille (Gourley) Collyar was born October 4, 1930, in Avard, Woods Co., Oklahoma, the daughter of Leo and Theresa (Brickman) Gourley. She grew up and attended schools in Avard, graduating from Avard High School in 1948.
She was married to Bob Holden in Alva and the couple established their home in the Byron-Amorita area until 1953. In 1958, they moved to Yates Center, Kansas, then to Russell, Kansas, for four years, before moving to Cherokee.
On October 23, 1976, she was married to Clarence Albert Collyar, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, where they established their home. Clarence was the son of the late Earl Edward and Anna May (Bushman) Collyar, long time residents of Blackwell.
She was employed as a seamstress at Southwest Cupid until her retirement. Mrs. Collyar was a member of the Cherokee First Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband Clarence A. Collyar, of Blackwell, three duaghters, Trina Myers of Ponca City, Deborah Sills of Osage and Paula Sue Wayman of Blackwell, one son Ricky Holden of Russell, Kansas, one brother, Roy Gourley of Alva; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter.
