August 31, 1946 - May 13, 2023

Mary E. Jones of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died early Saturday morning, May 13, 2023, in Via Christi Village in Ponca City at the age of 76 years.

Mary Ellen Jones was born on August 31, 1946, in Ponca City to Arthur and Mary Davis. On May 15, 1967, she married Larry Jones and the couple made Blackwell their home for many years. He preceded her in death on December 24, 2020, and she continued to make Blackwell her home. Mary worked in the Blackwell community for many years and enjoyed serving and visiting with customers. She also served her family and was a dedicated homemaker. Mary loved family gatherings and spent most of her time with family members. She loved to garden and delighted in growing flowers to add beauty to the world. She was a member of the Blackwell Tabernacle Church in Blackwell.

She is survived by three daughters, Kim Rigdon, Tina Faagai and Mary Jones; eleven grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson, Quintin Shane Day.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 22nd in the Blackwell Cemetery with Rev. Cliff Johnson officiating.

A memorial has been established in her honor with the Blackwell Tabernacle Church , 1013 N. 9th Street, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
