Clark Funeral Service

Funeral Services for Wanzalee Sims,71, of Tishomingo were held on Friday, December 11, 2009 at the Assembly of God Church with Rev. Lyn Gaskey officiating.

Interment followed in the Tishomingo Cemetery. Mrs. Sims passed away on Tuesday, December 8th, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant.

Wanzalee was born on October 21, 1938 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to Oscar Garrison and Lula Doty Garrison. She married James W. Sims on January 16, 1957 and graduated from Tishomingo High School the same year. She later attended and graduated from Murray State College in Tishomingo with an Associates Degree in Child Care. Wanzalee was child care provider for many years and longtime member of the First Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Johnny Garrison and her sister, Ruth Forrest.

She is survived by her children & their spouses, Sharon & Randall Blakemore of Tishomingo, Evelyn & Keavin Troutman of Tishomingo and Greg Sims of Duncan; her sister & brother-in-law, Karen & Jim Sanders of Las Vegas, Nevada; her grandchildren, Nicholas Blakemore & his wife Janie, Holly Blakemore, Barrett Troutman, Joel Sims, Will Troutman and Aaron Sims; her great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Keegan, Ethan and Avery; other relatives and a host of friends.
