Clark Funeral Service

Funeral Services for Donald E. O’Dell, 72, of Oklahoma City will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clark Funeral Chapel with Mr. Buddy Parks officiating. (originally planned for 3:00 pm Friday, January 29th,rescheduled to due inclimate weather. Interment will follow in the Tishomingo Cemetery. Mr. O’Dell passed away on Sunday, January 24th, in a Midwest City Hospital.

Donald was born on December 16, 1937 in Pilot Point, Texas to Fay O’Dell and Beatrice Davis O’Dell. He attended Nida Schools and later Murray State College. Don taught school for 32 plus years in different parts of the country and was also a coach, insurance salesman and had worked for the Department of Human Services. He moved to Oklahoma City in 1996 and had been living there since that time.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Tracy; his granddaughter, Brittany; three brothers, Charlie, Kenneth and Vernon Ray O’Dell and two sisters, Helen White and Barbara O’Dell.

Donald is survived by two sons, Todd O’Dell & his wife Mara of the home and Trevor O’Dell of Wynnewood; two daughters, Tamara O’Dell of Sulphur and Marie Ozee of Ft. Worth, Texas; his brother, Glenn O’Dell & his wife Nell of Milburn; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild; other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers for the service will be Weldon O'Dell, James O'Dell, Aaron O'Dell and Jeremy Fillmore.
