Pryor – The funeral for Frances Bates Green, 69, formerly of Enid who died April 18, was conducted April 20 in the First Christian Church at Pryor. Dr. Bill Watts officiated. Burial was in the Tishomingo City Cemetery at Tishomingo under direction of Jim Green Funeral Home.

Mrs. Green was born June 6, 1914, in a Sherman, Texas, to Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Bates. She moved with her parents to Enid where she graduated from Enid high school class 1930 as an honor student. She also graduated from Phillips University and was a schoolteacher and had worked for Holloway and Associates of Tulsa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Green, June 19, 1974.

Survivors include one aunt, Vernie Glasco, Sciatook; and two nephews.
