Funeral Services for Ryan Savoy Coppedge, 33, of Tishomingo were held on Friday, May 7, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Forrest officiating. Interment followed in the Tishomingo Cemetery. Masonic Rites were conducted at the graveside. Ryan passed away on Monday, May 3rd, at his home.

Ryan Savoy Coppedge was born on Easter Sunday, April 10, 1977 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Ronnie and Lanette Muse Coppedge, joining his big sister Jennifer Nicole.

Ryan had a remarkable life in a very short time. Ryan was an outgoing, friendly person that was known for his beautiful smile and outgoing personality. Ryan enjoyed being with his family and friends; he enjoyed his Saturday mornings at the Dairy Queen with his friends before flying his RC airplanes. He recently acquired the driving nitro RC cars; He was an accomplished Trap shooter running at least 24 out of 25 most every time with his wife and dad proudly watching; He loved pond hopping with his Chihuahua “Trooper”; and, Deer hunting with his best friends, dad Ronnie and nephew Price Rowe.

Ryan was employed at Locke Supply Company in Ardmore where he had worked in the electrical department for five years.

After dating for three years, Ryan married CeCelia Ann Smith, the love of his life, on March 5, 2010.

Ryan was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tishomingo and gave his life to the Lord at a very early age and was baptized in that very church. Ryan was a graduate of Tishomingo High School in 1996, and was named the “Most Talented” in his Senior Class. He was active in sports, playing football and throwing the shot put. He enjoyed his FFA days raising and showing his Maine-Anjou cattle. He later graduated from the Murray State College Gunsmithing Program. Ryan was a perpetual member of Tishomingo Masonic Lodge # 91 and the McAlester Scottish Rite. He earned his wings from the Tishomingo Flying Tigers Club with his maiden flight at Tishomingo Airpark. As a teen, Ryan was a competitive marksman who was named one of the top 100 shooters in the U.S. at the National Small Arms Firing School competition in Camp Perry, Ohio. He was the 1994 state champion in the Oklahoma Rifle Association 600 yard high-power rifle competition.

Ryan is survived by his wife CeCelia Coppedge of the home, his parents Ronnie and Lanette Coppedge of Tishomingo, his sister Jennifer Nicole Rowe and her husband Dustin, his niece, Madison and nephew Price of Tishomingo, grandmother, Fleta Coppedge of Holdenville and grandparents, Bill and Loyce Muse of Holdenville, Oklahoma, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, customers and acquaintances. Ryan was preceded in death by his grandfather Jack Coppedge last November.
