Bruce C. Blocker

TISHOMINGO -- Graveside services for Bruce C. Blocker, 79, will be at 10 :00 a.m. Wednesday at Tishomingo Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Gniech officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Clark Funeral Service in Tishomingo.
Military honors will be provided by the Tinker Air Force Base Honor Guard and Masonic rites by Tishomingo Masonic Lodge No. 91.
Born January 26, 1925, to Claude Blocker and Lucille Winnie Nabors in Sulphur, he died June 24, 2004, in Tishomingo.
He married Wauneta Leming on November 26, 1949, in Lovington, New Mexico.
Mr. Blocker served in the U.S. Navy in the early 1940s at Pearl Harbor during the invasion and in the U.S. Air Force during Korea and Vietnam for a total of 35 years service. He retired as a senior master sergeant, E-9, and received many citations in service.
He was a 32nd Degree Mason Member of the York Rite, Order of the Eastern Star and former Tishomingo city councilman.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; three sons, Douglas C. Blocker, Ardmore; Edward L. Blocker, Wichita, Kansas; and Ronald O. Blocker, Arlington, Texas; two sisters, Louise Haddock, Porter, Texas; and Virginia Chapman of Bastrop, Texas.
Bearers will be the Tinker Air Force Base Honor Guard.
Visitation will be all day today at the funeral home.
