Funeral Services for Mrs. Gladis Lou Rymer, 82, of the Butcher Pen Community will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 2:00 p. m. in the Herb Clark Memorial Chapel in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.

Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Wapanucka, Oklahoma.

Mrs. Rymer passed away on May 25, 2018 at the Four Seasons Nursing Home in Durant, Oklahoma. Gladis was born on December 31, 1935 in Wapanucka to Jessie M. Bates and Lillie Lee (Lowery) Bates. She grew up in Wapanucka and graduated from high school there. She married Willard C. Rymer on July 29, 1954 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Mrs. Rymer lived in Carter and Johnston Counties all of her life. She owned and operated a beauty shop for many years. She enjoyed camping in her 5th wheel with her husband at Sardis Lake. She also loved cooking and making crafts. Mrs. Rymer was cherished by her family and friends and will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Jewel Dean Bates, Betty J. Doss and Lois Brooks.

Mrs. Rymer is survived by her husband Willard, of the home; her brother, Rufus Bates and wife Deloris of Wapanucka; three sisters, Beatrice M. Carr of Winona, Texas, Reable Lowe and husband Marvin of Butcher Pen and Dora Black of Ardmore, Oklahoma; a sister in law, Wanda Burnett of California; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
