Graveside Services for Mr. George Edward Spillers, 74, of Tishomingo, Oklahoma will be held on Monday, November 23rd, 2015 at 2:00 p. m. at the Ravia Cemetery with Roger Clark officiating. Mr. Spillers passed away on November 18th, 2015 at his home.  The family will receive friends from 2-4 p. m.  

George was born on March 1st, 1941 in Wilburton, Oklahoma to Lloyd Edward Spillers and Margaret Marie (Chronister) Spillers. He attended school in Midwest City, Oklahoma where he was an outstanding basketball player. He met Catherine Tweedy in the early 1970’s and married her on May 14th, 1974 in Carson, California where they had moved when leaving Oklahoma. George worked for 21 years as the Head of Security and Maintenance for the TTI Corporation. A company in the business of manufacturing bank cards. They returned to Johnston County in 1995 from Long Beach California. Upon returning to Oklahoma he went to work for the Wal-Mart store in Madill, Oklahoma as the over-nite support manager and retired from there after 11 years. George had many interests outside of work; they include, he was an avid watcher of the western channel, a John Wayne fanatic, loved to fish, and enjoyed watching “Swamp People”. He was preceded in death by his parents.  

George is survived by his wife Catherine, of the home, two daughters, Lisa Brown and husband Wayne of Piedmont, Oklahoma and Jamie Henson and husband Chase of Ardmore, Oklahoma, his son, August Spillers of Virginia Beach, Virginia, two brothers, Chuck Loftin and wife Rita of Carson, California and Jerry Spillers and wife JoAnn of Marysville, California, his sister, Anita Bremer and husband Mike of Sun City, California, four grandchildren, Marisa Brown of Piedmont, Ryan Spillers and wife Esin of Los Angeles, Dean Henson and Dylan Henson of Ardmore, also, numerous nieces and nephews.  

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Wayne Brown, Chase Henson, Charlie Tweedy, Curtis Wayne Tweedy and Charles “Skooter” Tweedy. m Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
