Graveside Services for Mr. Andrew G. “Andy” Love, 79, of Ravia, Oklahoma will be held on Saturday, July 25th, 2015 at 10:00 a. m. in the Ravia Cemetery with Pastor Jonathan Smith officiating. Military Honors will be provided by The Chickasaw Nation Honor Guard and other honors by the Ravia Fire Department. Mr. Love passed away on July 23rd, 2015 at the Mercy Hospital in Tishomingo.

Andy was born on December 3rd, 1935 in Madill, Oklahoma to Otis Love and Mandy (Freeman) Love. He served in the United States Army from 1954 until 1956 and during this time met and married Dean Faye Witten on April 7th, 1956 in Crown Pointe, Indiana. He served 6 years of stand-by military service and later joined the Oklahoma Army National Guard for 4 years, when he received his medical discharge. Andy and Faye had been living in Johnston County since 1969. He was very active in many organizations to include, Vice-Commander of the American Legion Post #164 in Tishomingo, Lifetime Member of the D.A.V. Post #30 in Ardmore, Oklahoma, member and Past Master of Tishomingo Masonic Lodge #91, a Reserve Deputy for the Johnston County Sheriff’s Department, retired firefighter with the Ravia Volunteer Fire Department, member of the Johnston County Veteran’s Committee, and was the self-appointed “Johnston County Sex Symbol”.

Andy was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, three sisters and a daughter-in-law, Marlene Love.

He is survived by his wife Faye, of the home, two daughters, Julie Antriken and husband Randy of Moore, Oklahoma and Connie Chastain and husband Dennis of Shawnee, Oklahoma, two sons, Andy Love, Jr. of Ravia and Donald “Chopper” Love and wife Tonya of Ravia, his brother, Joe Love and wife JoAnn of Ravia and his sister, Thelma Chappell of Tishomingo, nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
