Rhonda Jean Russell, age 71, passed from this life on May 30, 2020 at her home in Pontotoc, OK surrounded by her loving family.

Rhonda was born on October 5, 1948 in Connerville to Elbert and Gratha Timmons. She was a graduate of McLish High School. Rhonda spent the majority of her working years as a cook and supervising manager for Murray State College Cafeteria. A faithful and devoted woman to her church, family and friends. She adored her grandchildren and loved to spoil them; the granddaughter’s will sure miss their time getting their nails done with her. Rhonda had a servant’s heart and always made sure the needs of others were met before her own. She left a legacy behind her and will be forever missed by those that knew her and all the lives she touched.

Rhonda is preceded in death by her son, Brannon Shane; parents, Elbert and Gratha Timmons; siblings, Delphia Goza and husband Howard, Betty Hargis, William Timmons, Gerald Timmons and wife Judy.

Those she leaves to cherish her memories are her loving husband, Dean Russell; children, Earl and Jay Russell; grandchildren, Erin John, Jaycee Parks, Lauren Payne, Eon Russell, Kenneth Russell, Madeline Russell, Owen Russell; 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Richard Timmons and wife Jean of Oklahoma City, Andrew Timmons of Pontotoc, Genevia Byrd and husband Jackie of Stonewall, Leonard Timmons and wife Jimmie of Pontotoc, Paul Timmons and wife Ruby of Fittstown, Dennia Burke of Oklahoma City, Louise McClain and husband Paul of Ada; best friend, Betty Hendricks and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who will deeply miss her.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Friday, June 5, 2020 at Blue Baptist Church in Connerville.

Interment to follow at Pontotoc Cemetery.

Family hour will be from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday. Arrangements were made under the care of DeArman-Clark Funeral Home.
