Clark's Funeral Service

Funeral Services for Mrs. Betty Jo Pittman, 69, of Stonewall, Oklahoma will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Connerville Baptist Church with Brother Phillip Barnes officiating. Interment will follow in the Pontotoc Cemetery. Mrs. Pittman passed away on Saturday, January 30th, at the Valley View Regional Hospital in Ada.

Betty Jo was born on February 16, 1940 in Wills Point, Texas to James Scoggins and Tersie Aulds Scoggins. She grew up and attended school in that area and married Murrell M. Pittman on May 30, 1959 in Harlingen, Texas. They moved to the Connerville, Oklahoma area in 1977. Mrs. Pittman was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on June 1, 2001; a son, Rodney Joe Pittman; a daughter, Rebecca Ann Pittman and two sisters, Lois Boyd and Christine Brandon.

Mrs. Pittman is survived by her children, Richard Pittman of the home; two daughters, Lois Hamilton of Tishomingo and Alice Hallmark of Fittstown, Oklahoma; three brothers, Bobby Scoggins of LaFeria, Texas, Bill Scoggins of Clute, Texas and Keith Scoggins of Finton, Texas; four sisters, Dean Williams of Harlingen, Texas, Mary Barnes of Euless, Texas, Beatrice Brandon of Willow, Alaska and Judy Falksen of Longview, Texas; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers for the service will be : Ernie Hallmark, Nicholas Hamilton, Jay Dee Hamilton, Jeremiah Hamilton, Bland Pittman and Miles Pittman.
