Criswell Funeral Home, Ada

Services for Deedra Jean Jefferson, 39, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Ada, Rev. Don Jacob will officiate.

Burial will follow at Pontotoc Cemetery.

Ms. Jefferson died Thursday, October 8, 2015 at her home. She was born November 28, 1975 in Talihina to Marion Eugene and Rose Marie Shields Jefferson. She attended Monahans, TX grade school and graduated from Permian High School in Odessa. She attended the University of Arkansas and the Pontotoc Vo-Tech. She received her Licensed Practical Nursing Certificate and was employed and an LPN with the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center. Deedra was a member of Mitchell Memorial United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her parents, Gene and Rose Jefferson, of the home; two sisters, Drucilla “DD” Jacob and her husband Steve of Ada and Denise Clark and her husband Billy of Ada; her nephews and nieces, Dustin Newport, Courtney DeCoteau, Stonie Stepps and Tray Moore, Catie Hamilton and husband Clovis and Nikki Stepps and Zackaree Stepps; and two great nephews, Elijah “EJ” Edney, Jr. and Jaxon Moore.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joe and Minnie Shields; and her paternal grandparents, Andrew Jefferson and Daisy Sampson.

Bearers will be Matt Clark, Jay Wisdom, Clovis Hamilton, Dustin Newport, Zackaree Stepps and Virgil Tilley, Jr. Honorary bearers will be EJ Edney, Jr., Jaxon Moore, Victoria Morgan, Misty Buck, Tana Clark, Cindi Stevens, Leslie Shaw and Shawna McFarland.
