Criswell Funeral Home, Ada

Services for John William Breeden, 76, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at Pontotoc Cemetery.

Mr. Breeden died Monday, October 19, 2015 at an Ada hospital. He was born August 4, 1939 in Roff to George Custer and Sylvia Lee Gurley Breeden. He graduated from high school and attended college.

He married Helen Ruth Duty August 28, 1976 in Ada. Mr. Breeden owned and operated Breeden Grain, a trucking company. He served in the National Guard and Army Reserves.

Survivors include his wife, Helen, of the home; three children, Virginia (Jenny) Hodge, Eufaula, James Hodge and wife Sonya, Ada and Franklin (Lenny) Hodge and wife Misty, Norman; two brothers, Jerry Breeden and wife Katie and Robert Breeden and wife Pam, all of Ada; eleven grandchildren, Amy Hodge, John Cody Mac Gossett, Makala Allen, Ezekial Miller, Heather Hodge, Destiny Johnson, Stormy Houchen, Cecelia Hodge, Kory Castleberry, Hunter Rex Hodge and Hannah Hodge; seven great-grandchildren, Mya Keith, Kainen McIntosh, Silas Gossett, Skyla Pickup, Kyle Pickup, Alex Johnson and Xavier Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, David and George, Jr.
Bearers will be Jackie Cornish, Franklin Hodge, James Hodge, Mike Gossett, Terry Beach and Donald May.
