Mill Creek Cemetery was begun in 1901 when the town moved to its present location. After the Frisco Railroad came through, the town moved four miles east.
The old cemetery is located on the Jack Penner Ranch west of Mill Creek on the eastern Murray county line. There is one stone in the this cemetery that is dated 1874 and this would indicate that this was probably a family cemetery in the area well before 1901. All other stones are dated after 1900.
If you have family buried in this cemetery and would like to add their information, an obit, tombstone photo, funeral home record or memorial card to this website, please send area coordinator an e-mail.
