Carolyn Ruth Mendoza, 61, of Oklahoma City, died Monday, April 14, 2014 in Oklahoma City. The daughter of Virgil Jackson Greenwood and Geraldine (Factor) Greenwood, she was born October 1, 1952 in Talihina, Oklahoma.
 
Carolyn married Jesus “Jesse” Mendoza June 3, 1983 in Oklahoma City. She was a member of the Downtown Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Carolyn worked for many years as an executive secretary and loved traveling all over the United States with her job. Carolyn sold Mary Kay cosmetics for many years and enjoyed going to garage sales in her spare time.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her two sisters, Georgie Mae Frazier and Virgina Lou Boston.

She is survived by her husband, Jesus “Jesse” Mendoza of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Cynthia Perkins of Galey, Oklahoma; one son, Jonathan Mendoza of Oklahoma City; her six grandchildren, Gabriela, Courtney, Renee, Taylor, Amelia and Lynce; her four sisters, Patricia Ann Cox and her husband, Jimmy Dale, of Ada, Evelyn Wood of Stonewall, Linda Greenwood of Purcell and Dianne Catron and her husband, Dale, of Tishomingo; her two brothers, Dewayne Greenwood and his wife, Danielle, of Blanchard and Leon Greenwood of Ada; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, April 18, 2014 at Downtown Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 18, 2014 in the Greenwood Family Cemetery near Fillmore, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
