James Walton Ables

James Walton Ables, age 74, an Atoka, OK who also lived in Carney for several years, was born on Monday, December 18, 1944, to James Raymond and Nedra Burney (Keeton) Ables, at Caney, OK.

James passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at his home in Atoka, OK.

He graduated from Tushka High School and went on to attend ECU where he received a bachelor's degree. James worked for Cain's Coffee for many years and then became a truck driver for many more years. James proudly served his country in The Army. James was of the baptist faith. He was a member of the American Legion in Atoka.  James enjoyed sitting outside in nature, gardening, traveling, fishing, and visiting with family.

James is survived by his sons, Randall Ables of Atoka, OK, Brian Ables of Carney, OK; grandsons, Zachary Ables of Atoka, OK, Trevor Joe Ables of Carney, OK; granddaughter, Morgan Paige Ables of Carney, OK; sister, Viola Lang and husband J.D. of Atoka, OK; aunt, Jimmie Culbreath of Shawnee, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.  

James is preceded in death by his parents, James Raymond and Nedra Burney (Keeton) Ables; brothers, Enos Ables, Richard Ables.

PLACE OF SERVICES:  Brown's Funeral Chapel, Atoka, Oklahoma
INTERMENT: Coleman Cemetery, Coleman, Oklahoma
