A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Condon Grove Cemetery in Milburn for Charlie Sliger, 75, Madill, who died Wednesday, March 19, 2008, in Ardmore. The Rev. Kerry Groce officiated.

The son of William and Lilly May (Glover) Sliger, he was born Tuesday, Jan. 17, 1933, in Fillmore.

Mr. Sliger was a retired National Guardsman with the 180th Infantry of Durant, where he served as a mechanic. Charlie loved to go fishing and work with wood, but putting together jigsaw puzzles was his pastime.

Preceding him in death were his parents, spouse Paula Sliger, brother Pete Sliger and sister Hazel Reed.

Survivors include son Charlie Sliger and wife Karen, Madill; daughters Regina Nino and husband Juan, Grand Prairie, Texas, Renia Doshier, Fort Campbell, Tenn.; brother Sam Sliger and wife Linda, Big Springs, Texas; grandsons William Doshier and Johnathan Doshier, both of Kingston, Randall DeWitt and wife Miranda, Fort Rucker, Ala., Juan Nino, Grand Prairie; granddaughters Ola May Nino, Grand Prairie, Ashley Sliger, Oklahoma City, Jennifer Adams and husband Tre, Kingston; great-grandchildren Rayne Adams and Blayze Adams, both of Kingston, Joseph Sliger and Jocob Sliger, both of Oklahoma City, and Kylie Jo DeWitt and Kelton DeWitt, both of Fort Rucker.
