Joyce Cleo (Wright) Schmidt

In memory of Joyce Wright Schmidt, the daughter of the late Elzie Lee Wright and wife Gismanda Mae Bullock Wright. She was 75 years and 8 months and 15 days old.

Joyce was married to Paul Schmidt in Achille, Oklahoma May 20, 1940.

She attended the First Baptist Church of Milburn, Oklahoma the past 19 years.

She will always be remembered for the beautiful fresh flower arrangement she provided for the altar.

Joyce was survivied by her husband Paul; and four children and their spouses, Pauletta Schmidt and husband Wilburn Martin; Joan Schmidt and husband Harold Weems; son Lyn Schmidt and wife Brenda; Tim Schmidt and wife Dana; nine grandchildren, Kevin Martin, Jill Latham, Ronda Sides, Kim Cripps, Scott Schmidt, Taran Schmidt, Melanie Beck, Stephanie Beck, and Cody Beck; one great grandson Forrest Latham; wo brothers; four sisters; and numerous friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; twin brothers; and one sister.

Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday July 8, 1995 at the First Baptist Church, Milburn, Oklahoma officiating by Rev. Darrell Heath and Rev. Tom Coldwell.

Pallbearers were Bobby Smith, Wayne Estes, Dallas Boggs, Ike Bryant, Larry Bentley and James Rowland.

Interment was in the Condon Grove Cemetery, Milburn, Oklahoma under the direction of Carkin Funeral Home, Tishomingo, Oklahoma.

Paul and Joyce lived and attended the Magnolia Baptist Church at Crawford, Oklahoma.

Joyce is a sister-in-law to A. T. and Lennie Leddy of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; and Ike and Jane Schmidt of Sayre, Oklahoma formerly of Sweetwater, Oklahoma; and Steve Schmidt of Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Joyce was a very dear friend in our community. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
