Clark Funeral Service

Graveside service for Leslie Arvel Neely, 86, were held  at 10 a.m. Monday, November 12, 2001 at Condon Grove Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service, Claremore. 

He was born July 7, 1915, in Tishomingo to Osie Ola and Beulah Mae Tallon Neely and died Nov. 9. 2001. He married Opal Marie Stamper on Oct. 26, 1951, in Dustin and she preceded him in death.

Neely graduated from Tishomingo High School. He later attended Oklahoma State University, East Central University and the University of Oklahoma. He received a bachelor's and master's degree in education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
 
Leslie served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a retired high school superintendent and had lived in Ardmore for 25 years. He was a member of the Christian Church, Lions Club and American Legion.
 
In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Kay Neely; and brothers, Everett, Percy, James and Dixie Neely.
