Clark Funeral Service

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday for Benjamin Miller, 80, a Johnston County native who died July 16, 2000, at home.

The Rev. Charlie Carter and the Rev. Nelson Baken will officiate for services at Corbin Memorial Chapel, Tishomingo. Interment will be at Condon Grove Cemetery, Milburn.

Born April 17, 1920, at Wapanucka, Miller was a son of the late Robert William and Julia Carney Miller. He married Lillian Marie Culberson on Oct. 5, 1950, in Ada.

Miller attended school in Ada and worked as a heavy-equipment operator until retiring in 1984. He lived in Fillmore 30 years and was a member of High Hill Baptist Church, Ada, and a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

A wake service is planned at 5 p.m. today at Cindy Bighair's home in Tishomingo. Visitation will be until 3 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until noon Wednesday.

Survivors include four sons, Ronnie, Ardmore, Robert, Mill Creek, Tommy, Milburn, and Henry J. Miller, Tishomingo; and three daughters, Toni Leader and Sharon Wilson, Tishomingo, and Tammy Goodman, Cartwright. He was preceded in death by a brother, Newton Cass; and three sisters, Margaret Cravatt, Viola Walker and Rose June Walton.

Bearers will be Paul Wilson, Kevin McWilliams, David Goodman, George Reid, Anthony Whelchel and Casey Miller.

Corbin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
