Clark Funeral Service

Services for Bruce King, 78, were at 11 a.m. today at the Milburn Church of Christ with Bob Page officiating. Interment was at Condon Grove Cemetery under the direction of Clark Funeral Home.
 
King was born on Oct. 18, 1922, at Weatherford, Texas, to Hollis A. and Lona J. Wampler King. He died on Sept. 28, 2001.
 
Raised in Weatherford, he married Marjorie Sliger on Nov. 18, 1959, at Tishomingo and had lived in Johnston County since that time. He was a former brick mason and rancher. He was a Mason and member of Milburn Church of Christ.
 
Survivors include his wife, of the home; four daughters, Joy Mason, Oklahoma City, Donna Lynch, Sulphur, Janie King, Stratford, and Holly Vaughn, Caddo; two sons, Keith King, Longview, Texas, and Bobby Daniel, Milburn; two sisters, Anita M. Boyd, Bokchito, and Mildred Cantrell, Sterling City, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
 
Bearers were Hubert Porter, Tommy Johnson, Dennis and Allen Boyd, J.R. Tidwell and Chock Trent. Honorary bearers were David Hairell, Justin Underwood, Bill McCarter III, Dusty Baker, Richard, McCarter, Colton Vaughn and Jeff Rhea.
 
Clark Funeral Home directed services.
