Graveside Services for Mrs. Ethel J. Gill, 94, of Milburn, Oklahoma will be held on Saturday, February 20th, 2016 at 11:00 a. m. at the Condon Grove Cemetery with Brother Earl White officiating. Mrs. Gill passed away on February 17th, 2016 at the Southern Pointe Living Center in Colbert, Oklahoma. Visitation and Viewing will be held on Friday, February 19th, from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm at the funeral home.  At the family's request, the casket will not be opened at the cemetery.

Ethel was born on June 6th, 1921 in Milburn to Robert Ballard and Roena (Smith) Ballard. She graduated from Milburn High School and served briefly in the United States Army from 1944 until 1945. She worked at various jobs during her lifetime to include, being a clerk at Blanton's and Merck's Grocery Stores, a seamstress at the sewing factory and as a cook, and also as a homemaker.  Mrs. Gill was of the Church of Christ faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, two husbands, Leonard Hopewell and Leonard Gill and two sisters, Irene Steeves and Odessa Petty.

Mrs. Gill is survived by her daughter, Lynda Sliger and husband Butch of Milburn, grandchildren, Ken Sliger of Milburn, Dean Sliger of Tupelo and Annie Sliger of Milburn, great-grandchildren, Cole Sliger, Cadyn Harrison, Boston Wingfield, Kate Sliger and Liz Sliger, as well as other relatives and friends.
