Memorial Graveside Services for Mrs. Barbara Elwanda (McGlocklin) Clifton, 92, of Mannsville, Oklahoma will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 2:00 p. m. at the Condon Grove Cemetery in Milburn, Oklahoma with Reverend Kenneth McCarthick officiating.

 

Mrs. Clifton passed away on March 2, 2017 at the Brookside Nursing Center in Madill, Oklahoma. At her request, the family selected cremation.

 

Wanda was born on June 16, 1924 in Egypt, Oklahoma to Clarence Speaks and Zeola (Carter) Speaks.  She married Ed McGlocklin on January 30, 1940 and he preceded her in death on June 27, 1964.  She became a nurse at Johnston Memorial Hospital until 1969, when she remarried and moved to Mannsville. Wanda then went to work for Stromberg-Carlson at the Gene Autry Air Base.  She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. In later years, Wanda was a caregiver to many. She will be missed by all.

 

She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Tommy and Eddie McGlocklin and her brother, Henry Speaks.

 

Wanda is survived by two sons, Billy McGlocklin of Mannsville and Gary McGlocklin of Taft, Oklahoma; grandsons, Blake of Madill, Chad of Oklahoma City, Jake of Tishomingo, Tommy Frank of McKinney, Texas and James of Kingston; also, many of Billy’s friends who called her Mom.
