CLARENCE EDWARD BHONE
Services: Thurs., July 29, 10 a.m.
Viewing will be on Wednesday, July 28, from 2-8 p.m., at Arvin Funeral Home, 600 Tucker. Services will be Thursday, July 29, 10:00 a.m. at Arvin Assembly of God, corner of Hill and Tucker, in Arvin.
Clarence Edward Bhone was born on September 24, 1924, in Waurika, Oklahoma to Buford (Doc) and Maude Bhone. He moved to Arvin, California in 1938, attended Arvin Grammar School, and graduated from HCUHS in 1942. Clarence was an active member of the Arvin Assembly of God Church, a member of the Church Board for 21 years, taught Sunday School, was a Royal Ranger leader, and Boy Scout leader. His activities were camping, fishing and family. In 1945, Clarence married Ora Mae Floyd. They were married for 48 years until her death in 1993.
They had two sons, Danny LeRoy Bhone and his wife, Glenna, Michael Dwight Bhone and his wife, Kathy; grandchildren, Scott Bhone, Tammy Mukul, and Matthew Bhone; great grandchildren are Angela Mukul, Jena and Nyah Bhone. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lena Maude Dunn and brother, J. B. Bhone. Clarence was wonderfully blessed by remarriage to Velma Louise Groves on February 8, 1996.
